Review: The LetFeng Large Oval Nonstick Griddle is a very large, spacious cooking surface that has wide culinary applications assuming you have a large enough cooking surface to use it on. Beware that the large size can translate to a safety concern due to the handles extending over the edge of the stove depending on burner placement.Initially the griddle heated evenly and held and transferred the heat well. The griddle is light for its size. It’s easily pounds less than a similarly sized cast iron skillet if you could find one in the same dimensions.Unfortunately, the product I got warped from the center to the outside during heating to a medium temperature, creating a very slight, detectable hump in the middle that tapered down to all four sides rendering the griddle essentially useless for cooking food items that require cooking oil as a surface lubricant: pouring cooking oil on to the pan resulted in it running to the sides and puddling there.My primary use for the griddle is for pancake breakfasts so cooking oil is essential for pancakes. Once the griddle warped, the batter (for thin pancakes) slowly sloughed to the sides and cooked unevenly.To double check that the griddle warped, I used a standard 2-foot bubble level and verified that the edges of the griddle remained level, but using a smaller torpedo level on the inside of the griddle proved the warpage.Make no mistake that this is a big griddle. Calling it an oversized griddle would not be inaccurate. The 20.87 inch long cooking surface is great. Add another three-or-so inches for the combined length of both handles, and the griddle that easily spans two kitchen burners causes the griddle end to extend over the front of the stove some which could be a safety concern for households with small, grabby and reaching children. It can also create a hazard in a busy kitchen where someone might walk close to the stove and inadvertently bump it off toward the center of the stove or worse yet, causing it heated and with food on it to fall over the edge of the stove to the floor.This is not a concern in most outdoor situations assuming the griddle fits on your BBQ, over your campfire or even over a popular smokeless or double-combustion fire pit. If you’re not using the griddle for foods that even initially require level cooking, the slight deformity caused by heating the griddle might not be an issue for you, but it’s a deal breaker for my needs.Where the griddle takes up a lot of real estate on an indoor stove, this feature also makes cleaning the griddle in a conventional sink challenging. Given the size, non-use storage may be an issue.

Review: Purchased this large, oval griddle with the intention to use it on our gas stove and to clean it through our dishwasher; however, I didn’t realize that it would be too big for both spaces. The handles get in the way of utilizing the griddle in the middle of our stove, where a griddle would normally be kept. If I tried to play Tetris, then this unit would fit diagonally in our dishwasher, but almost nothing else would fit. So be wary of what sized stove you have prior to purchasing, while keeping in mind the dimensions with the handles! With that being said, I was able to use this unit on our BBQ grill outside. This works nicely to heat up food. The handles feel durable and the unit itself has a medium heavy weight to it. The edges are a bit shorter than I had originally anticipated, but still helps to prevent food from sliding off the unit.
