Review: My purchase was based on my craving for steel cut oats. I wanted to be able to make a pot of slow cooked oats ready for the first thing we wake up to in the morning. This product is worth every penny.There is a slow cook option. With that I am able to adjust the timer to 8 or 9 hours. When that time is up it automatically goes to the Keep Warm mode.The main feature that both my wife and I like is the ability to pull the main bowl out and clean it. If you remember the crock pots from a few years back, washing the inside was a balancing act try to keep the pot up and not to get the controls wet or drop into the water. That is not a problem here. The ease of cleaning was beyond our expectations.And here’s the fun part. We are now able to get rid of the old pressure cooker and steamer and crock pot and rice cooker – this one appliance has replaced four separate appliances freeing up much needed cabinet and storage space.Plans now involve stews, chili, pasta, bean soups, casserole, and even some deserts.The only minus is the intructions or directions were really lacking any detail at all. If you have experience with former crock pot cooking, you pretty much know what to expect in terms of times and temperatures.

Review: Bought this product, thought is was a great deal, got it with a defective lid that can’t hold any pressure. I emailed them to just send me a new lid and they say I have to ship the whole unit to to them for a replacement one. That would be good, if I hadn’t receive a $44.72 shipping bill in the mail for the defective one. Now, I will have to pay another $44.72 to ship it to them and pay to ship a new one to me again!

Review: I bought my unit almost a year ago, and I’m still very happy with it. I agree with the other reviewer about the instruction manual/user guide being horrible. It does provide a table with pressure settings for each button listed. COPY THIS TABLE by scanning or photographing. You don’t want to lose it! (I have mine as a PDF on my iPad.) Because the instructions are almost non-existant, there was a slightly steep learning curve figuring out which setting was best, but after a few uses, it all kind of clicked in my head and became easy.I use it for yogurt, beans and lentils without soaking, curries, rice, chicken broth and soups. The saute feature is surprisingly hot—it browns meat and onions quickly. If you like curries or other aromatic food, you’ll want to remove and wash the sealing ring each time, as it can retain a slight smell of the last dish cooked.Five stars despite the poor instructions. Zero complaints.

Review: Hi, am 78 years old, and have used pressure, cookers and canners most of my life. The pressure cooker itself, is fine. The instruction manual is terrible. They use metric measurements that could either be pressure or temperature. I have no clue which is which. All is the 13 buttons to press, there’s four or five that are not even mentioned in the booklet. I actually bought it to cook oatmeal because it takes so long doing it on the stove top. It does not tell me I have to use the oatmeal feature. A+ for the cooker, F- for the booklet.

Review: Refurbished but IT WORKSWent through all the other Chinese pressure cookers and they all had the state of California like lead and cadmium toxicity. Then I see this Wonder and I buy it thinking wow. Then I open the box and it says warranty may not be the same as refurbished! I’m not big on refurbished items but this has worked quite well perhaps because it’s mostly hardware and not computer stuff that’s tougher to rewind the time machine! I can’t yet give it five stars because I wonder about refurbished how long it’ll last.. I may return in years years with a wondrous review since they want to make it safe to stay in business. For this I hope they stay in business. This will be a real wonder if it stays because in 6 days it pays for itself by dry beans.. I paid about 70 for used but it would have been much woe if not..As the other up and rave reviews say it’s a really good product.. the flavor of the beans are a lot more moist and the flavor is way better and five times cheaper than usual canned beans and corn. This has literally brought my food bill down to as low as $3 a day! Why you don’t want to just live on beans you can live on them more often.. I haven’t gotten mine to cook at high speed like they say they do so it takes about 45 minutes to cook my beans.. even so this seems much safer than the watched pot that never boils, I could even burn ice! All that I don’t know yet is when it might crash eventually.. the general knowledge about the pressure cooker and the money I’ve already saved is anon a treasure.. just because I only rated it at four stars only means that I haven’t pumped it yet!If you were eating canned or processed food the blue diamond pays for itself in 6 days and after that you’re getting about $80 a week you wouldn’t otherwise! I don’t know if this one will go but so far it’s a jewel.. even if it crashed by the end of the month and I had to buy another one a month it’s like getting $160 extra a month! For the time being I’m getting $320 indefinitely ahead!
